George Dominic Swatland

George Dominic Swatland, 77, long-time resident of Norwalk passed away July 10, 2013. He is predeceased by his loving wife Wanda Swatland.
George was born in Stamford July 30, 1935, the son of the late Dominic Swatland and Mary (Chowka) Swatland. He was a 50 year resident of Norwalk and a retired Sheet Metal worker, having owned his own business for 45 years. George was a veteran of the Army and an avid fisherman.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his sisters Patricia Smolinski and her husband John of Stamford and Maryann Morelli of Danbury. Also surviving are his six nieces and nephews. George was pre-deceased by his brother Peter Swatland. He will be missed by his beloved family members and friends.

We were so sorry to hear about Georgie's passing. He was fun-loving and he and Wanda in earlier days always joined in on family functions. Our deepest sympathy to the families.

I am sorry to hear that George passed away. May he rest in peace. As a young child, I grew up with George in Waterside, Stamford. We played at the John J. Ryle school yard. It's now gone. MEMORIES live on. GOD bless.
