Emma Navady Koleszar

Emma Navady Koleszar, age 97 of Norwalk, wife of the late Louis A. Koleszar, died on Friday, July 4, 2014 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in West Virginia, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Lydia (Solyum) Navady, she came to Norwalk with her parents at a young age and spent her entire life a resident. She raised her family in a house that her husband built on Sunset Hill Avenue. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, her life was her family, especially her three sons, of whom she was very proud. Her pastime was taking care of her family by providing them with a well-run and loving household. The family car trips to California to visit her mother and father nearly every Summer were a highlight of her year. Emma was a member of the Calvin reformed Church (formerly the Hungarian Reformed Church) She was predeceased by her brother Alex Navady of Ridgefield and her sisters Irene Root of San Diego and Ethel Mellace of Norwalk.
Survivors include her three sons; L. Richard of Ridgefield, attorney Miklos P. and his wife Dr. Michele D. Koleszar of Norwalk and Dr. Alexander S. and his wife Jill B. Koleszar of Wilton, her daughter-in law Lori P. Koleszar of Redding, along with Emma's Grandchildren; Andre and his wife Cristina, Faith, Carolyn, Patrick, Alexis, Kerry, Nicholas, Matthew, Gabriel and her Great-Grandchildren; Olivia and Owen. The Koleszar family wishes to thank Dr. Gulnara (Nina) Chikvaidze and her husband Dr. Iveri Shashiashvili for the loving care they provided to Emma for the last 10 years.
Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Wednesday July 9, at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, with burial to follow at Riverside cemetery.
