Kalman K. Tailor, beloved husband of Mary K. Tailor, passed away on March 6, 2013 at Paradigm Convalescent Home in Norwalk, after a lengthy illness. He was a Norwalk resident for many years and wintered in Dania Beach, FL since his retirement. He passed away three days after his 91st birthday.
Born in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia on March 3, 1922, Kalman was father-less by the age of three and, when old enough, became an apprentice tailor to help support his family. After WWII, he met and married the love of his life Mary. Kalman left Yugoslavia, leaving Mary and their two boys in1956. It took him four years to work them to the United States, and another few years to buy and open his own tailor shop in Darien, CT.
Besides his wife Mary, Kalman is survived by his two sons, Laslo (Claudia), and Kalman, Jr. (Olga), five grandchildren, Kirk, Samantha, Kari, Ashley and Lauren, and two great grandchildren.
Services for Kalman will be left to the discretion of his family.
