Vilma A. Caruso

Vilma A. Caruso, 78, wife of Louis F. Caruso of Norwalk, CT passed away November 11, 2013 at Norwalk Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born August 1, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas & Rocchina DeFinis. Vilma moved to Norwalk with her family at a young age and attended Norwalk Public Schools. After graduating from Merril Business School, Vilma worked for Ramar Sales Agency where she worked her way up to office administrator. Afterwards she pursued her hobby of dried floral arranging and owned and operated the Flower House for several years until her illness. She was active in several woman's organizations such as the Columbiettes Council 46 were she held several board positions over the years.
In Addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Lisa Miglietta and her husband Bruno, and a son John Caruso and his wife Paula. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Isabella Miglietta, and Lindsay and Michael Caruso. Vilma was predeceased by a brother Fred N. DeFinis.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Norwalk Hospital ICU as well as the home care nurses who cared for Vilma during her illness.
Friends may call Thursday, November 14th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue Norwalk, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk CT. Internment will follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jerome Church.
The St. Ann Ladies Auxiliary will pay their respects at 7:00 PM.
