Edith Fried Obituary

Edith Fried

Edith Fried passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013. She was 97 years old. Born on Staten Island, New York City August 3rd, 1915 to English Immigrants Hollis Ewart Taylor and Ethel Tugwell Taylor.
She was predeceased by her first husband Roger Morrison in 1951 then by her second husband Gregory Fried, of 34 years in 1999.
She is survived by sons Donald Morrison and wife Sheila of Fairfield CT, Clive Morrison and Wife Judy of Rowayton CT, Hilary Fried and wife Laurie of Milford CT, Daughter Kathy Hallett and husband Frank of Jamaica, Vermont. And grandchildren Elizabeth Hallett of Brattleboro Vermont, Vicki Megibow of Bethel CT, Ben Fried of Brooklyn NY, David Fried of Milford CT, Hope Morrison of New Haven CT, Jack Morrison of Fairfield CT and great grand daughter Phoebe Grace Megibow. Additionally nephews Steven McCulloch of Greenwood Village CO and Bruce McCulloch of Temecula CA.
She shared her later years between Norwalk, Connecticut and Key West, Florida. Both Edith and her late husband Greg were founding members of the Unitarian Church of Westport as well as The Unitarian Chapter in Key West FL.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to Fried Improvement Fund at The Unitarian Church of Westport, 10 Lyons Plain Road, Westport CT 06880.
A memorial service will be held at the Unitarian Church of Westport on February 2, 2013 at noon.
