Beatrice I. Chabot, age 92 of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 with her children by her side at CT Hospice Branford. Born in New Bedford, MA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Matilda (Blanchette) Landry, she was the wife of the late Herve G. Chabot. Beatrice worked as a clerk for MBI for over 20 years, and enjoyed crochet. A loving mother and grandmother, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by 3 loving children: Rita Galbo of Norwalk, H. Robert Chabot and his wife Margo (Ready)of Riverside , CA, and Linda Chabot of Guilford, 7 Grandchildren: Nicole and Karen Galbo, Elyse and Matthew Chabot and Christopher, Adam and Matthew Yorzinski, 4 Great-grandchildren: Kaya and Jason Harrel, Katelyn Quinn and Emma Yorzinski, 2 Sisters Blanche Gagnon of Brewster, NY and Doris Barth of Ronkonkoma, NY, Sister-in-law Joan Landry of Gainesville, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Marc Chabot and 3 brothers Henry, Raymond, Joseph Landry and her son in-law Joseph Galbo.
Her Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Monday from 4 to 8PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk.
