Bernard Breeman
“Bernie”
Bernard (Bernie) Breeman formerly of Norwalk, CT, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 at his home in Boca Raton, FL. Hew was born August 8, 1921, the son of the late Rose (Schulman) and William Breeman.
Bernie was past president of Breeman, McSally and Hanlon Insurance Agency. He was actively involved in Norwalk as Chairman of Parks and Recreation and State Representative from District 149 from 1966 - 1968. He served the Navy on PT 257 during World War II.
He is survived by his wife Esther (Zuckerman), daughter Cheri Breeman, daughter and son-in-law Barbie and Jeffry Steinberg, grandchildren Seth Steinberg and Edra Steinberg Wigder, great-granddaughter Ella Wigder and sisters Bea Lawrence and Dolly Robbins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Sunday, August 19, at the graveside in the Independent Hebrew Society/Temple Shalom Cemetery, Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
Contributions may be made in Bernie's memory to Hospice by the Seas, Boca Raton, FL.
