Caroline Y. Kavanewsky

Caroline Y. Kavanewsky, 90, of Palm City, FL, recently passed away and entered into eternal peace on March 8, 2014. Caroline was born to Earl and Alice Mae Yeadaker of Miami, FL on April 23, 1923. She is predeceased by her parents and her brother. Caroline met John (Husband) of Norwalk, CT, who was attending the University of Miami on the G.I. Bill. They married on November 26, 1949, and moved to Norwalk where they resided for over 60 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, John, and her four devoted children, John Kavanewsky Jr. (Donna), Janet Flinchum (David), Stephen Kavanewsky (Mary Ellen) and Laura Tiderman (David). In addition, she was the proud and loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren; Peter and Paul Kavanewsky; David, John and Caroline Flinchum; Adam, Kendall and Mitchell Kavanewsky; David, Clayton and Brian Tiderman.
Caroline was a remarkable woman in many way. She was a USO volunteer during WW II and was dedicated to many medical causes over the years, including her work at Jackson-Memorial Hospital in Miami and to the Silver Hill Foundation in CT. She also enjoyed a wide circle of friends in the Norwalk, CT community in addition to be an active Parishioner for over 50 years at St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
Upon her passing, a Mass of Christian Burial was held at Holy Redeemer Church in Palm City and interment at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in West Palm Beach, FL.
The family has requested any memorial donations be made to the donors preferred charity. All County Funeral Home and Crematory - Treasure Coast Chapel, 1010 NW Federal Highway, Stuart, FL, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
