David Griffith Ericson
Resident of Norwalk
David Griffith Ericson died peacefully on July 2, 2013 at the age of 68 at The Aurora Nursing Home in Norwalk, CT after a long illness. David was born on September 17, 1944 in Norwalk, CT, the second son of Kenton and Eleanor Ericson, now deceased. Kenton Senior was well known as the President of the Norwalk Savings Society and active member of the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce.
David graduated from Norwalk High School and Norwalk Community College. In 1966, he married Ann Lounsbury and they raised two children, Annalisa Ericson (a Special Olympian) and Eric Ericson (a carpenter and artist). The family lived in Norwalk and then moved to Wilton in 1974 where David lived until he moved to the nursing home in October 2012. Ann and David divorced in 1979. David later married Alesia Williams. His marriage to Alesia ended several years later. David managed his own construction and renovation business, DCI, throughout his entire career.
David (lovingly called Uncle Dave by his many friends) enjoyed music, riding his Harley, skiing at Okemo Mountain in VT and boating on Long Island Sound. He was a long time member of the South Norwalk Boat Club. David was a true and loyal friend to countless people who will remember him as someone who lived life to the fullest.
David is survived by his daughter Annalisa Ericson of Redding, CT, his son Eric, Eric's wife Erika and their daughter Anika of Bethel, CT; his brother Kenton, Kenton's wife Sharon and their daughters Jessica and Raina of Redding, CT.
