Delina A. Anastasia

Delina A. Anastasia, age 91 and wife of the late Frank A. Anastasia, died peacefully at the Norwalk Hospital on Wednesday, August 28. She was born on May 23, 1922 in Scranton, PA, the daughter of the late James and Mary Appa Cardamone, and was a former resident of Elm St. in Norwalk. Delina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved cooking , baking and caring for her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Rosemarie A. Flynn and her husband Brendan of Trumbull, a son William J. Anastasia of Norwalk, her brother Dominic Cardamone of Hamden, and her sister Lucille Esposito of Milford. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren Josh, Chris, Casey and Daniel, great grandchildren Ben, Gwen, Caroline, Melody and James, and many nieces and nephews. Delina was predeceased by her grandson Sean Anastasia and her sisters Mary Pierce and Connie Nardella.
A celebration of Delina's life will be held at 9 AM Saturday, August 31, at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, with Rev. John Cardamone officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. Delina's family will receive friends at the funeral home today (FRIDAY) from 5-8 PM.
