Elaine DiPrisco Sirois
Former Area Resident
Elaine DiPrisco Sirois, 58, died unexpectedly Sunday, August 19, in her new hometown of Murrell's Inlet, South Carolina. Elaine and her family moved to Murrell's Inlet in 2010 to enjoy the beach and sun.
She was born in Winchester, Virginia to Eleanor Tremonte DiPrisco and John Robert DiPrisco, who have both predeceased her. She grew up first in Westport then spent most of her teen/young adult life in Norwalk. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1972. She worked for many years as the right arm for Bill Baker, owner of Baker Companies, a real estate development company and had several staff members working directly for her. Elaine and her family lived in Wilton for many years before moving South. Elaine was a widow. She was married to James T. Sirois who predeceased her in May, 2010.
She leaves behind a beloved stepson, Jay Sirois, 31, of Chicago, Illinois and a beloved son, Alexandre Evan Sirois, 20, of Murrell's Inlet, who was the apple of her eye. She is also survived by her sister, Janet DiPrisco, of Weston, and brother, Robert DiPrisco, of Norwalk.
Elaine loved her life in South Carolina and was happily retired. She was a wonderful caring person whose life touched everyone she knew. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family. Her favorite quotes were it is only with the heart that one can see clearly and what is essential is invisible to the eye.
Memorial services will be held at 12:30 on Saturday, September 1, at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. For info or online guestbook, please go to: Magnerfuneralhome.com
