Elaine McPhillips Crimmins, of Wilton, passed away on February 1 after a long illness.
She was born in 1937 in Manhattan and grew up in Woodside, New York. She attended Bishop McDonnell High School on a merit scholarship and upon graduation served as a respected secretary for the FBI. Later she focused her efforts on raising a family in Wilton and on nurturing her relationships with friends, neighbors and extended family. All of us are impoverished by her loss but much richer for her life.
She is survived by her husband James William Crimmins; her sons James, Mark, Terence and John; her daughters-in-law Abby, Mari, and Geralyn and her cherished grandchildren Kenny, Catherine, and Carolyn.
A wake will be held at Bouton Funeral Home in Georgetown, Connecticut on Monday, February 4 from 5pm to 8pm and a funeral will take place at Sacred Heart Parish Church in Georgetown on Tuesday, February 5 at 10am.
