Long-time Resident of Norwalk
Ethel Dursht, 87, beloved wife of the late Saul Dursht, died peacefully at Edgehill in Stamford, CT on September 25, 2012. Mrs. Dursht was born and raised in New York City where she earned a B.A. degree in Statistics from Hunter College. She went on to Syracuse University where she taught and earned a M.A. degree in Mathematics. She was a long-time resident of Norwalk, CT where she was a Professor of the Mathematics Department at Norwalk Community College for over 30 years. Mrs. Dursht had been a resident of Stamford, CT for over 12 years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Dursht is survived by her sister Esta Robinson of New York City, her sister Mary Mehlman of Woodland Hills, CA, daughter Audrey Dursht and her husband Sanford Herzfeld of New York City, son Peter Dursht of Norwalk, CT, son Ken Dursht and his wife Jaime of Darien, CT, grandchildren Morrison Haas, Jason Herzfeld, Meredith Sahi and her husband Avi, Joanna Perrino and her husband David, Mia Dursht, Ethan Dursht, and great-grandchild Miles Perrino.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Please visit www.collins-funeral.com to leave condolences.
