Lifelong Norwalk Resident
Florence Ann Dorta (Soltes) passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on Friday afternoon. A lifelong resident of Norwalk, Connecticut, she remained proudly independent throughout her life. Born in Norwalk, she was daughter to the late Anthony and Helen Bacho Soltes.
She kept a strong loyalty to her city and her neighbors, enjoying walking through South Norwalk, taking the bus downtown, and talking to neighbors and members of the South Norwalk Boat Club.
She is survived by her two daughters, Helen Humphries and husband Bill of Norwalk, CT and Michele Hollis and husband Chuck of Monroe, CT, as well as her four grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Daniel, and Griffin, her brother Louis Soltes and his wife Sarah, her sister-in-law Louise Soltes, and her very special brother-in-law and friend, Henry “Dutch” Kruger.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Mike, her brothers Anthony and Joseph, and just six weeks ago by her sister and best friend, Gertrude Kruger.
Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk.
