Helene J. Duffy
Formerly of Westport
Helene J. Duffy, 95, of Trumbull, CT, formerly of Westport, CT, and wife of the late Westport Fire Capt. Edmund T. Duffy Sr., passed away peacefully while watching a New York Yankee baseball game Monday evening.
Mrs. Duffy was born at home in Greens Farms and had been a resident for ninety years prior to moving to Saint Joseph Manor five years ago. She was a communicant of St. Luke Church. Mrs. Duffy was an avid Yankee fan, loved gardening, cleaning, cooking and baking.
Survivors include three sons, Edmund T. Duffy Jr. and his wife Susan of Milford, CT, Charles Duffy and his wife Rose of Westport, CT and Denis Duffy and his wife Mary of Trumbull, CT; two daughters, Anne Carol Sutton of Hanover, NH and Donna Duffy of Monroe, CT; six grandchildren; one great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Duffy was also one of seven brothers and sisters.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM, meeting directly at Saint Luke Church, 84 Long Lots Rd., Westport. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, 79 Greens Farms Road, Westport. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Rd. E. from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
