Isabella Emma Icatar
Isabella Emma Icatar, 9, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012 at her home in the loving arms of her parents and surrounded by her family. She will be remembered for lighting up a room with her infectious smile and beautiful personality, which attracted many friends.
Born on August 10, 2003 she was the daughter of Roneil Icatar and Julianne Yantachka Icatar of Norwalk, CT. Isabella was a fourth grader at Marvin Elementary School in Norwalk. She loved to read, dance, sing and had a great sense of humor. Isabella was diagnosed with brain cancer on November 17, 2008 and fought with courage and grace for almost four years. Despite growing physical limitations, Isabella's spirit continued to shine and inspire others.
In addition to her parents, Isabella is survived by her sister, Annalise, brother, Nathaniel, grandmother, Fe Icatar, grandparents, Michael and Janet Yantachka, and a large number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is predeceased by her grandfather, Emmanuel Icatar.
Friends may call on Wednesday, September 26, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 27, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Interment will follow in Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford, CT.
All visitors are encouraged to wear bright, vivid colors since Isabella loved rainbows.
The family would like to thank the Marvin Elementary School and St. Thomas the Apostle Church communities for their tremendous support over the years.
