Kelly Paul Romaniello

Kelly Paul Romaniello, 52, of Riverside, Conn., passed away peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2014. He was born in Greenwich, Conn. on November 9, 1961 to the late Lillian Cantavero and Canio Romaniello.
Kelly was a graduate of Greenwich High School where he was a star baseball player. He continued his stellar baseball career at Housatonic Community College as the designated hitter and first baseman. After graduating, he continued to play baseball and shared his passion for the game through coaching for the youth in this area. A strong, quiet man, Kelly was a devoted brother and friend; he dedicated his life to the service of others and always put others before himself. Kelly enjoyed spending his spare time with his family and his many friends, who he considered his family. He carried on the local family tradition at Ada's Variety Shop where many generations stopped for their daily papers and candy fix.
He is survived by his sisters, Rosemary and Sandra, his brothers Don and Ron, and their wives Patti, and Debby. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews: Donald, Amanda, Caitlin, Alison, Victoria, Mac, and Samantha.
