Laura Lee (Evans) Rogers
Laura Lee (Evans) Rogers, 91, of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at home. She was born in Selma, Alabama, the daughter of the late George and Adell (Moss) Evans.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son Joe Rogers III; three daughters, Ruby Spears, Gladys Thomas and Thelma Rogers; three sisters Clara Smith, Menerene and Adell Arnold; a brother-in-law James Moutrie; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday at 10am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 96 South Main St., Norwalk. Relatives and friends may call from 9am until the time of service at the church. Interment will be Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery in Beckley, W. VA.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Lester Gee Funeral Home, 1390 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport.
