Beloved Wife & Sister
Leslie Clark Chenard, age 66, of Norwalk and former Wilton resident, died peacefully at the Norwalk Hospital on Wednesday, September 19, 2012. She was the loving wife of Napoleon Nappy Chenard for the past 16 years, a marriage she was very proud of. Leslie was born on January 13, 1946 in Selma, AL, daughter of William Judson Clark and Dorothy Six Clark, both deceased.
She was a longtime member of S.T.A.R., Inc., and through there had worked at Burger King and then Stop & Shop in Norwalk, retiring in 2010. She enjoyed stock car racing, square dancing, was very patriotic and proud to be a Mayflower descendant and a member of the D.A.R. Despite all the obstacles she faced in life, Leslie was always joyful, happy and loving.
She will be dearly missed by Nappy, her sister Lyn Clark Posner Ribisi of Los Angeles, CA and her step-sister Michele McNutt of Arroyo Grande, CA.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 22, 11 AM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk with Rev. Carleton Giles officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
