Lore  Fakundiny Obituary
Born in Heubach, Germany on June 14, 1926, Lore was the daughter of the late Alfred Stegmaier and Klara (Kolb) and Heini Epting. She attended local schools. She worked as a hairdresser at her family''s business in Germany for many years. On November 23, 1953, she came to the United States and settled in Norwalk in 1964.
Lore was a good and caring lady who was loved by everyone she acquainted herself with. She was a longtime member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and a longtime singer at the Germania Manner und Dammenchor of Port Chester, NY.
She is survived by her beloved husband of sixty- one years, Albert J.Fakundiny; two daughters, Hannelore and her husband, Frank Billowitz of Norwalk and Linda Fakundiny of Norwalk; four grandchildren, Erika (Billowitz) and Fellyn Silliman of North Carolina, Heidi Billowitz of Norwalk, Frank Billowitz, Sr. and Nicole of Stamford and Michael Billowitz and Samantha of Norwalk; two great-grandchildren, Frank A. Billowitz, Jr. of Stamford and TorinI.Silliman of North Carolina, her step-mother Erna Stegmaier of Germany,several nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Tobi. Preceded in death was a son, Hans Fakundiny.
Lore''s family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 01, 2009 in St. Peter''s Lutheran Church, 208 Newtown Avenue, Norwalk from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Her funeral will follow at the conclusion of calling hours, 11:00 AM with Pastor Robert D. Beinke officiating. She will be laid to rest following her service at Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society at _www.cancer.org_ (http://www.cancer.org/) .

Dear Linda and family,
We were so sorry to hear about your mom. She was a beautiful and special woman. Always smiling, very funny, she was always good to us even though at times we could be wild teenagers. We will always remember her. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
