Lucian "Lut" John Rekosz, 83, wed to Marie Valenzano Rekosz for 58 years, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012 in Norwalk Hospital with his family by his side.
Born January 7, 1929 in Stamford, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Stanley and Stanislawa Mosakowska Rekosz.
Mr. Rekosz attended Holy Name School and JM Wright Technical School. He then served in the U.S. Navy. He later worked for Pitney Bowes until his retirement.
He is survived by his son Paul and his wife Judy Rekosz of Norwalk and his daughter Linda and her husband Claudio Zampino of Madison, CT; 5 Grandchildren, Michelle Rekosz Aguirre, Dawn Mejia and Kevin Rekosz of Norwalk and Claudio and Carl Zampino of Madison. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Rekosz was predeceased by his four brothers, two sisters and one granddaughter, Lorrie Ann Rekosz.
Friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM in St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
