Mary E. Mastrolillo Caviola
Resident of Norwalk
Mary E. Mastrolillo Caviola, age 90, of Norwalk, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 26, 2012. She was the loving wife for 54 years of the late John P. Caviola. Mary was born in Norwalk on February 7, 1922, daughter of the late Joseph and Elisa Mastroianni Mastrolillo. She was a life member of the St. Ann Club, St. Joseph Church and the Rosarian Guild. Mary was also a former Columbiette.
Survivors include Mary's children, Jeannie Caviola of Norwalk, John J. Caviola and his wife Sue of Putney, VT, Rick Caviola and his wife Patrice, Lisa Caviola and her partner Kathy Greco, all of Norwalk, 8 grandchildren, Mark, Jeanine, David, Tiffany, Travis, Mallory, Christopher and Kaitlin, 18 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her sons Alfred and Robert Caviola, daughter-in-law Jeanine, grandson Raymond, great grandson Dane, and her brothers, Anthony, Nicholas and Joseph Mastrolillo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 10 AM at St. Joseph Church, 85 S. Main St., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Mary's family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Monday from 4-8 PM. Members of the St. Ann Club will gather at 7 PM.
