Mary J. Roxburgh entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 9, 2011. She was born September 8, 1920 in Stamford, CT and was the daughter of the late Stephen and Josephine Skorlutowska Cackowski.

Survivors include her son, Thomas A. Roxburgh, and wife Karen, of Arvada, Colorado, her daughter, Hazel Roxburgh Carlson, and husband Bruce, of Norwalk, two sisters, Josephine Cackowski Detmer of Stamford and Helen Ostaszewski Christofel of St. Augustine, Florida, four grandchildren, Scott Carlson of Beacon Falls, CT, Michelle Roxburgh Kneupper of Tiverton, RI, Craig Carlson of Derby, CT and Kelly Roxburgh Martinez of Hampton, VA. Also surviving are her four great grandchildren, Anthony, Logan, Brennan and Kaitlyn Carlson. Mary was also affectionately known as Aunt Mamie to several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas A. Roxburgh, Sr., six brothers, George, Walter, Joseph, Stephen, Frank and Stanley Cackowski, and three sisters, Stephanie Lindsay, Florence Sedlmayer and Loretta Mogelnicki.
Her family welcomes all relatives and friends on Thursday, April 14, 2011, from 9:30am to 11am with a Prayer Service beginning at 11am at the Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave. in Stamford, CT. Interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery, 66 Woodland lace in Stamford, CT.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elderhouse Adult Day Center, 7 Lewis Street, Norwalk, CT 06851 (www.elderhouse.org), where Mrs. Roxburgh enjoyed many happy hours.
