Long Time Norwalk Resident
Nelio Montrose, a resident of Norwalk, Connecticut for more than 33 years, passed away at the age of 70 at his home on Center Avenue, after battling stomach cancer for two years. Nelio was born in Leogane, Haiti and immigrated to the United States in 1981. He worked 26 years at Stew Leonard's in Building Services and retired at the end of 2012. He was a very hard worker and an avid reader of French literature, local news and world politics.
He is survived by his wife Lissane Bruno of Norwalk, CT; his son Jean-Marie Montrose of Norwalk, CT; his daughter Marise Montrose of Norwalk, CT and his grandson Clarence Montrose of Miami, FL.
Friends may greet his family on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 6 pm to 9 pm at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 9:30 am at St. Joseph Church, 85 South Main St., Norwalk, CT. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, 82 Riverside Ave., Norwalk, CT.
