Victor A. Krouse was born on April 13, 1922, near the town of Springhill, Louisiana. He died on November 13 at his home in Norwalk, CT. His parents were Emile S. Krouse and Ina Miller Krouse. Victor entered the Navy in 1942, and after training, helped outfit the destroyer escort on which he would serve during WWII. He served on this ship providing escort duty for convoys across the Atlantic until the end of WWII.
Victor married Mary Zeppettello, on November 13, 1943, and after an Honorable Discharge from the Navy in 1945, he attended Syracuse University and graduated in 1952 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. After working for 30 years in industry, Victor formed and operated two companies manufacturing and distributing special tools for electric utilities and other industries. He continued to operate one company until a few years before his death.
Victor's wife Mary predeceased him. He is survived by two sons, David and Bud Krouse, of Norwalk, CT, two granddaughters, Rebecca and Sarah, a brother, J. D. Krouse of Mount Ida, AR, a sister, Winifred Gleason in Benton, AR, and a sister, Evelyn Hardy in Magnolia, Arkansas. Victor was cremated, and his ashes will be interred next to other family members in a cemetery near Springhill, LA.
