World War II Veteran
Nicholas DeRosa, age 94, passed away on April 28, 2014 in the Connecticut Hospice Center after a brief illness. He was born on April 16, 1920 in the Bronx, NY to Neal and Rose Aramondo DeRosa. Nick was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy and daughter Donna.
A decorated World War II Veteran, Nick served his country bravely and proudly in The Battle of the Bulge as an Infantryman. He was a retired butcher for a major food chain and was an avid golfer in his spare time.
Nick is survived by his son Nicholas; daughter-in- law Lorraine; grandsons Robert and Michael; granddaughter Meredith and three great granddaughters Madelyn, Chloe and Courtney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 10:00am at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk, CT followed by entombment at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Matthew Church, Norwalk, CT.
