Harry J. Clark, age 71 and loving husband for 50 years of Joanne Mottola Clark, died peacefully at Norwalk Hospital on Tuesday, June 24, after a brief illness. He was born in Kearny, NJ on February 26, 1943, the younger son of the late John and Clair Dillon Clark and has lived in Norwalk since 1969. Harry was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, earning his B.S. in accounting, and worked for many years in his chosen field. He enjoyed reading, music, bee-keeping, being outdoors, and relaxing in the pool. In his retirement, Harry was a very active volunteer at St. Jerome Church, and contributed countless hours as an unpaid member of S.C.O.R.E, mentoring small business owners. But most important to Harry was his family.
In addition to his wife Joanne, Harry is survived by his children Harry Clark, Jr. and his wife Michele of Wilton, Stephen Clark and his wife Trish of Old Greenwich, Jennifer Estes and her husband Ray of Hingham, MA and Michelle Clark of Norwalk. He is also survived by his brother Jack Clark and his wife Pat of New Port Richey, FL. Harry was blessed with ten cherished grandchildren Evan, Mitzi, Anna, Cooper, Dawson, Ellie, Nina, Joanna, Aaron, and Cameron. He was loved by his brothers- and sisters-in- law, as well as many nieces and nephews and his devoted dog Max.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 28 at 10am at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Rd., Norwalk. Harry's family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, on Friday, June 27 from 4 - 8pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to St. Jerome Church.
