Josephine R. Knapp

Josephine R. Knapp, age 82 and wife for 40 years of Raymond Knapp, died peacefully at her home with her husband at her side. Born in Piano de Sorrento, Italy on June 28, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Elena Mastellone. Josephine was a graduate of the P.S. Deaf School in New York City and was retired from C.R. Gibson where she was a typist. She enjoyed traveling with Raymond and her friends and loved spending time with her family.
Survivors also include a brother Stephen Mastellone of Queensbury, NY; a sister Linda Della Badia of Brooklyn, NY; brother-in-law Norman Knapp, Jr. of Melbourne, FL; sister-in-law Janet DeMeo of Newtown, CT and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 29, 10 am at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Josephine's family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Monday from 4-8 pm.
