James J. Manzi, age 83, of Norwalk, passed away in Norwalk Hospital on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. James was born in Norwalk on July 3, 1931, the son of the late John J and Frances (Amato) Manzi. Jim was a retired baker for Pepperidge Farm, and served with the Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include two sisters Josephine Domalewski and Marie Luczkowski and his beloved nieces and nephews Joan Nistico, Ronald Domalewski, Lori Anrico, Lynn Luczkowski, Lisa Roman, Edward Luczkowski and Ronald Zullo.
He was also predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Mildred Zullo, Dominic, Michael, Rose, Jean and Dorothy Manzi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place TODAY, July 31 at 11:30 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk. Burial with Full Military Honors to follow in St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk. Calling hours will be held TODAY from 10 to 11 am at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Norwalk Senior Center where Jim spent a lot of time.
