Theodore R. Hyzy, 72, beloved husband of 50 years to Diane (Langlois) Hyzy of Norwalk, died on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Theodore A. and Joan (Wiszowaty) Hyzy, he has served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 - 1966. He was a retired private chauffeur. A NASCAR fan and member of the Coachmen Car Club, he was a devoted family man who loved watching his grandchildren play sports, and looked forward to cheering them on.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children Lisa Hyzy of San Marcos, TX and Christopher (Karin) Hyzy of Wilton; four cherished grandchildren Christopher, Kyle, Craig and Kevin; three sisters Jacqueline Hyzy of IL, Marilyn (Jeff) Klein of GA and Penny Ann (John) Garrity of GA, as well as many brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm on Sunday, August 3 at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, CT. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday at 11 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 229 Danbury Rd., Wilton.
