Kirk Michael Reith, 50, beloved son of Matthew H. Reith and Ethel J. Miller-Reith, died Monday, October 24, 2011 in Griffin Hospital in Derby. He was born in New York City and lived most of his life in Norwalk.

Kirk, a graduate of Norwalk High School, was a skilled builder and contractor. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Yankee fan. He will be warmly remembered for his terrific sense of humor. Always quick with a joke Kirk delighted in keeping his family and friends entertained.

In addition to his parents, Kirk is survived by three brothers, Matthew Charles Reith and his wife Linda of Ansonia, Christopher Martin Reith of Ansonia, Paul Robert Reith and his wife Wendy of Stratford; two sisters, Mary Catherine Iodice and her husband Andre of Stamford and Robin Susan DiMeglio and her husband Vincent of Trumbull; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday at 9:15 am from the Fairfield Funeral Home of Edmund W. Dougiello, 36 South Pine Creek Road and at 10 am in St. Anthony of Padua Church in Fairfield with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Shelton. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm.
