Longtime Norwalk Resident
Angelina LaCanfora, 92, of Norwalk, wife of the late Vito LaCanfora died Saturday in the Norwalk Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Brooklyn, NY daughter of the late Vincent and Gerolima Leone Pecunia, she was a longtime Norwalk resident. Mrs. LaCanfora had a passion for her family it was her life, she loved and cherished them all.
Survivors include a son, Victor LaCanfora, and his wife Barbara, of Norwalk, two daughters, Marie Marini, and her husband Philip, of Seymour (formerly of Waterbury), Shirley Davis, and her husband Jack, of Norwalk, two sisters, Farah Roosa and Betty Porfilio both of Norwalk, one brother, John Pecunia and his wife Ann, of Norwalk, eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was predeceased by a daughter, Victoria Stuart and two sisters, Jennie Ilassi and Louise Doughtwright.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 14th at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk.
