John W. Giddiens, Sr.

John W. Giddiens, Sr. 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 13, 2012. He was born on December 14, 1933 in Painter, Virginia, son of the late Forest and Mary Parker Giddiens. John was married to Charlotte Ashby Giddiens of Norwalk, CT. He was employed for many years by CL&P.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by eight sons; Kendall Giddiens (Melissa), Keith Giddiens (Simone), Milton Lee Giddiens (Tracy), Mark John Giddiens (Terry), Orlando Sean Giddiens (Raquel), John William Giddiens, Jr. Eric Giddiens (Louise) and Reuben Douglas Giddiens, step mother; Elizabeth Giddiens of Exmore, VA, one uncle; King Peter Parker of Norwalk, CT, two sisters; Mary Jane Boil of Hemstead, NY and Eunice Catherine Stewart of New Port News, VA, one sister in law; Elizabeth Giddiens of Warrenton, NC, 19 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon followed by a service of celebration at 12:00 Noon at the fellowship hall of Calvary Baptist Church, 22 Concord St., Norwalk, CT with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Ingraham officiating. Interment will follow at Union Memorial Cemetery, Norwalk, CT.
