Mario Vuoso, Sr.

Mario Vuoso, Sr., age 80, of Saint Cloud, Florida, beloved husband of 55 years to Agnese Biasetti Vuoso, passed away in Kissimmee, Florida on Wednesday, July 10, 2013.
Born in Ischia, Italy, the son of the late Giovan Giuseppe Vuoso and Maria Migliaccio Vuoso, he worked for Wagner Pools in Darien, CT before retiring to Florida. Mario immigrated to Norwalk in 1960 and proudly became a naturalized American citizen in 1965. Mario enjoyed gardening, watching soccer, playing Briscola, and, above all, spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children John Vuoso and his wife Sharon, Maria Vuoso DiOrio and her husband David, Albert Vuoso and his wife Diane, Frank Vuoso and his wife Denise, and Mario Vuoso, Jr.; nine grandchildren Paul, Brianna, Bianca, Jessica, Christopher, Albert Jr., Julia, Faith and Isabella; three great-grandchildren Aaliyah, Matthew and Giovanni; a sister, Virginia Vuoso Amadei of Ischia and a brother, Fiore Vuoso of Ischia and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; four brothers Giorgio, Giuseppe, Salvatore and Matteo Vuoso, and his granddaughter Madison Vuoso.
The Vuoso family will receive friends on Sunday, July 14, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 15, at 10:00 AM in St. Philip Church, 1 Father Conlon Place, Norwalk. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
