Jerome Glaser Obituary
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spalding, with the Rev. Don Buhrman officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with a wake service at 7. Dolce-Scheef Mortuary of Spalding is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Glaser was born, Aug. 2, 1932, in Spalding to Albert and Mary Glaser.
Survivors of the immediate family include two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sr. Joan Miriam Glaser O.P. of St. Catharine, Kent., Mary Helen and James Cannon of Grand Island; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Alfred and Rosie Glaser of Kearney and Irene Glaser of Spalding.
Additional survivors include many nieces and nephews.
Mick spent most of his life in Spalding and Mid-Nebraska Individual Services in Ord. In January 2004, he moved to Friendship Villa in Spalding, and then entered the Greeley Care Home in Greeley on Sept. 8, 2011.
Mick loved family, fishing, travel and Husker football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Vincent J. Glaser, a sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Robert D. Cannon, a brother and sister-in-law, Donald A. and Mary Glaser, and nephew Robert A. Cannon.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Michael's Parish.

I had the pleasure of working with Mick at Mid Ne in Ord. He was certainly one of my favorite people and I just recently ran into him at The Greeley Care Home. I feel blessed to have known Mick, what a wonderful person, forever in my heart now with the Lord.

I have known Mick most of my life and he was always a gentleman. He always spoke to me and with a smile and a chuckle had something pleasant to say. He is in the loving embrace of Jesus now.
