Rich was a Pilgrim among Pilgrims. Rome in 2005. What a blessing he and Marie was on that pilgrimage. And then again as we walk the Stations of the Cross in Jerusalem. Always bringing up the rear but ALWAYS with a smile & a kind word. I was slow too! Rest well, my friend, & kiss Marie for me.

Rich piloted me on many a commercial fisheries vessel monitoring count for work at the Wash. Dept. of Fisheries. I knew that I was in good hands and safe with him at the controls. I will remember him as a man with a great sense of humor, and a professional's approach to work and to life. Please accept my condolences and sympathies, and hopes that memories of Rich will keep him alive in your hearts.

Uncle Rich was an amazing man. He enlightened me and my family in so many ways. I miss him greatly. He had such a wonderful "story" to tell and gave anyone listening to him inspiration and encouragement in the Lord. He is now an angel up in heaven looking down on us all. He is greatly missed and admired.

Augie and I are very sad to hear about Rich. From the time I was a little girl till now, we were always excited to hear that Rich and Marie were coming back for a visit. So glad we got to see him last year. He came to Minden to see us one last time and was so excited about our jalapeno pan that I gave it to him. He loved his kids and grandkids and shared many stories. We will miss him too.

Rich was indeed so much more than "uncle" to me. He showed me what love is in his love for Marie. He showed me what being a parent should look like. He loved me and supported me as he did my mother, his other "sister".
He never tired of learning and giving to others. He loved his chidren and grandchildren and was so proud of all of you. The teachers he loved the most were indeed his children and grandchildren. God bless you all. I love you all.
