Olney, Roger P. Roger Peck Olney, 71, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away June 23, 2016 surrounded by his family, after a brief and courageous fight with cancer, a probable result from Agent Orange, a defoliant dropped by the Army in the days of the Vietnam war. Roger was born July 29, 1944 graduated from Edison HS in Elmira Heights, New York, Class of 62. He was awarded the Boy Scout's highest award of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Alfred University ROTC program, winning the Distinguished Service Award. He was a helicopter pilot in the US Army, flying many missions in Vietnam during the war. After the military, he worked for Michelin Tire, retiring as Midwest Regional Sales Manager. Roger was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Marge Olney and his sister Barbara Bjorck Woughter. Roger is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia Cassidy Olney, son Scott Olney, his son Ash, daughter Nicole Olney Dobbs her husband Ryan, grandchildren Hudson, Weston and Luke, brother William Olney and Herman Yeung of Ithaca, NY.
