Houseworth, Chester R., Jr.

Ithaca: Chester R. Houseworth Jr., 10 Schwan Drive, Ithaca, age 65, passed away after a long illness on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. Born August 24, 1948 in the Town of Covert, NY, he was the son of the late Chester Houseworth Sr. and the late Hazel Woodard Houseworth. Chester was employed at Emerson Power Transmission, Ithaca, for 31 years and retired from there in 2010. Chester was an Army veteran and was stationed in Germany during his active duty. Chester is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Judy Houseworth at home; sons, Luke Houseworth of Freeville, Brian Houseworth of Dryden; his daughter, Melissa Hamrick of Florida; as well as grandchildren, Devon, Katlyn, and Lauren Hamrick, also of Florida; sisters, Gloria Kellogg of Newfield, Annette Ketter of Willseyville; and brothers, Randy Houseworth and Russell Houseworth of Saratoga Springs. He was predeceased by his sister, Wanda Nielsen. At Chester's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
