Charles R. Ingalls Obituary

Age 72, a long time Dryden resident, passed away, Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. Born April 19, 1942 in Jacksonville, NY, he was a son of the late George and Violet Drummond Ingalls. "Charlie" attended Dryden Schools and was employed as a Plumber and Steam Fitter by various contracting companies and for 11 years prior to retirement at the "Pipe Shop" at Cornell University. He was a member of Local 267, Plumbers and Fitters Union in Ithaca. He was a proud member of the NRA and was an avid outdoorsman. Survivors include his wife, Susan J. Tunison Ingalls of Cortland; his children, Donna Ingalls of Dryden, Peggy (Ricky) Darling of Mclean, Matthew (Gidgett) Ingalls of Fairport, NY and Nickolas (Kelli) Bucci of Cortland; brothers, George (Beatrice) Ingalls of Dryden and John "Butch" Ingalls of Ithaca; sisters, Doris Ward and Shirley (Randy Gunn) Ingalls of Dryden; grandchildren, Amber, James and Dustin Gleason, Kayla and Kassandra Darling, Morgan and Gavin Ingalls and Alexis Buck (Bucci); nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Dennis Ingalls who died in 1985. Services and burial were held privately at Charlie's request in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Perkins Funeral Home assisted the family.
