Patana, Jody A.

Jody A. Patana, Sr., 65, of Endicott, formerly of Ithaca, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Endicott. Born in Ithaca, he was a son of the late Larry, Sr. and Eleanor Patana. Jody scored 100% on his 10th year NYS Regents geometry exam and graduated early after his junior year in 1966. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Prior to his retirement, Jody had been employed by NYSEG for 28 years in the electric line department and was a member of the NYSEG Quarter Century Club. He was a member of IBEW Local #961, member (and Master 1977) of F&AM Lansing Lodge #774, member and secretary/treasurer of the South Lansing Fire Co. and was a social member of Ithaca VFW Post #961. Jody is survived by children, Ricky Grover, Jody Patana, Jr., Missie Patana, Scott Patana and Dale (Tasha) Patana; step-daughters, Michelle Wells, Becky Sheffield and Debbie Lupo; grandchildren, Sierra Hardesty, Christina Williams and Justyce Patana; siblings, Larry, Jr. (Doris) Patana, Gary (Mary) Patana and Trudy Noble. In addition to his parents, Jody was predeceased by his wife, Joanie Patana (1994) and infant brother, Robin Patana (1951). Friends may call from 4 - 6:00 P.M., Monday, March 3 at the Herson Wagner Funeral Home, 110 S. Geneva St., Ithaca.
