Sinn, Sr., Louis Robert "Dody"
Louis Robert "Dody" Sinn, Sr., 83, West Danby, died Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Cayuga Ridge, Ithaca. He was born at home in Ithaca July 6, 1930. Louis is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth Crance Sinn; sons, Louis (Gloria) Sinn, Jr., Newfield, Richard (Vicky) Sinn, Locke, Robert (Kelly) Sinn, Newfield; grandchildren, Laurie Sinn (Ray Fenton), Anthony (Heather Sinn), Jennifer (Frank) Rose, Crystal (Larry Sinn), Stacy (David) White, Meghan Sinn, Kiersten Sinn, and Trevor Sinn; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Carol) Harris, Sr.; sisters, Evelyn Cornell and Emma Price; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by mother, Evelyn Sinn Harris; grandfather, Robert Sinn; brothers, Glendon, Lester, and Jimmy Harris; sister, Frances Harris Russo. Louis enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. He took pride in supervising everyone, especially when the boys cut deer meat and mowed his lawn. He enjoyed watching Los Angeles Dodgers and Cleveland Browns. Louis worked for Finger Lakes and Tri-State Egg Company, Bill Knight Meat Cutters, and 23 years for Borg Warner. He served in the Army in the Korean War. Friends may call on Sunday, July 21, 2013, from 7-9 p.m. at Allen-Manzer Funeral Home, Spencer, NY, or Monday, July 22, 2013, from 10-11 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Ithaca.
