Jason Stubby Obituary

Jason Andrew Stubby, 36, passed away at his home on Thursday (Feb. 23, 2017) in Newton.

Jason was born on Sept. 5, 1980, in Hutchinson to his parents, Rick Stubby and Vickie Ray. He graduated from Burrton High School in 1999 and Hesston College, with an associate's degree in nursing, in 2013. He married LouEllen Regier on March 23, 2006. He was a loving husband and a great father to his two children, Kelli and Tyler, and stepdaughter Linzee.

He loved camping, fishing and anything to do with the outdoors. He was an excellent craftsman and handyman. He will be forever loved and missed.

Jason is survived by his wife, LouEllen Stubby of Newton; his father, Rick Stubby and wife Georgia of Newton; his mother, Vickie Ray and husband Bruce of Langdon; his brother, Joshua Stubby and wife Ashley of Hutchinson; his children, Kelli and Tyler Stubby of Hutchinson and Linzee McGruder, Newton; stepsister, Amanda Maynard of Newton; stepbrothers, Brian Young of Newton and Daniel Flower of Junction City; and many nieces and nephews who all loved him.

Jason is preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Norma Jean Stubby of Burrton.

A private family funeral was held at Peterson Funeral Home in Newton.

Memorials can be sent to Peterson Funeral Home, 215 N. Main, Newton, KS 67114. Memorials may be directed to the Stubby Children Fund in care of Petersen Funeral Home, 215 N. Main, Newton, KS 67114.

Year #7 & it is still hard for your mama! I miss everything about you the way you loved your family, your smell & your hugs but, I so miss that beautiful smile!
