Halstead - Mildred L. Huebert, 79, retired U.S.D. 440 Halstead Bentley Elementary School teacher, died Saturday, August 23, 2014 at her home in Halstead.

She was born October 25, 1934 at Halstead, KS to Henry and Anna Christine (Teten) Talbott.

She was a member of First Mennonite Church, Halstead, KS and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 5, Newton, KS.

On July 5, 1953 she married James P. Huebert at Halstead, KS. He survives.

Other survivors include sons: Douglas (Susan) Huebert, Dave (Denise) Huebert all of Halstead; Bill (Angie) Huebert, Ponca City, OK; sister Irene (Cliff) Sommerfeld, Newton, KS; 11 grandchildren and 5 great –grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by brothers: Edgar and John Talbott and sisters: Rosada Tomak-Janda and Verna Lee Hills.

A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at First Mennonite Church, Halstead, KS with Pastor Brian Harmon officiating.

Memorials may be given to Caring Hands Humane Society or new medical Center in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead, KS
