Dr. Scott Ingles Morgan, M.D., 62, of Kearneysville, W.Va., passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014, in the Hospice Inpatient Facility, Kearneysville.

Born Sept. 10, 1951, in New Orleans, La., he was the son of the late Aylmer Lee Morgan III and Betty Berry Brumfield Morgan. He completed undergraduate studies at Tulane University and graduated from Medical School at Louisiana State University.
Dr. Morgan was an ER physician at the Jefferson Memorial Hospital and Grant Memorial. He was director of Jefferson County EMS, founding physician of Jefferson County Urgent Care and instructor for Jefferson County homebound students.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sondra Jene Gross Morgan; two sons, Travis L. Gray of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Derek N. Gray and wife, Kristy of Summit Point, W.Va.; three daughters, Brenna J. Haines and husband, Charles of McPherson, Jennifer M. Barnes and husband, Brandon of Ponchatoula, La., and Lyndsey M. Fyffe and husband, Brandon of Lexington, Ky.; stepmother, Linda Morgan of Danville, Ark.; two brothers, Aylmer L. Morgan IV of Virginia Beach, Va., and Ollie Morgan of Maumelle, Ark.; two sisters, Betty L. Morgan of Washington, D.C., and Frances B. Morgan of Summit Point, W.Va.; grandchildren, Braydon Lee, Jordan, Layne and Hayden Gray, Tyler Bowman, Chloe Whittington, Nathaniel and Diana Haines, Aubree Barnes, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather.
A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2014, at the "No Place Like Home Farm," 395 Lake Louise Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
