Fred Springs Obituary

Fred Junior Springs, 76, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013. He was a son of the late Fred Aaron and Francis Lelia Gains Springs. Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Feb. 20, at First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1138 10th St., officiated by the Rev. Jerald Starnes. Survivors include his wife, Hallie Diane Springs of Lancaster; four sons, Steven Fred Springs and his wife, Lisa, of Liberty, N.C., Douglas Talley Springs and his wife, Ava, of Myrtle Beach, Rick Springs and Ronnie A. Springs and his wife, Anita, all of Lancaster; a brother, Joe Springs and his wife, Linda, of Summerville; three sisters, Mildred Powell of Lancaster, Vera Carter of Louisiana. and Annette Mahaffey of Pageland; seven grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thurman Springs; and two sisters, Mary Threatt and Carolyn Poston. The family will receive friends at the home, 1540 Kings Circle. Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is in charge.
