Dority, Michael Woody "Mike" - Fort Lawn  
FORT LAWN - Mr. Michael Woody "Mike" Dority, 58, of Fort Lawn, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015 at his home. He was born Oct. 10, 1956 in Chester, a son of the late Woodrow Wilson Dority and Sara Ruth Pettit Dority. Mr. Dority was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend. Mr. Dority loved to farm and work with his cows and ride his motorcycle. He was always there to help anyone that was in need. If you were his friend it was for life. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Dority will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at his home with the Rev. Larry Linderman and Chaplain Dr. Jim McClure officiating. Mr. Dority is survived by a brother, William "Ed" Lipscomb and his wife, Mary Lea, of Fort Lawn; three sisters, Margaret Hatley and her husband Wayne, of Indian Trail, N.C., Sara Carter and her husband, Scotty, of Fort Lawn, and Diane Tharpe and her husband, Raleigh, of Murrells Inlet; his fiance, Glenda Hand of Fort Lawn; his brother-in-law, Roger Minors of Fort Lawn; special best friends, Ricky Steele and Richard Featherstone of Fort Lawn; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Sutton and Brenda Minors. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 at 1108 Dority Farm Road, Fort Lawn.

LANCASTER - Debra Denise Douglas, 54, died, Monday, Aug. 24, 2015. She was a daughter of the late Joe Louis Douglas and the late Mary Cornelius Grafton. Survivors include three daughters, NyKoco Ayanna Talford, YoKoco Adama Douglas and Yolanda Cornelius Douglas all of Lancaster; a brother, Howard Bernard Douglas of Rock Hill; three sisters, Quendolyn Evans Douglas and Linda Sue Glen, both of Rock Hill and Vernita Ann Gladden of Charlotte, N.C.; and six grandchildren. A funeral will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 28, at the Crawford Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth Cauthen and Paul Hicklin Sr. officiating. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral.
