McElroy, Robert R. "Bobby" - Fort Mill  
Mr. Robert R. "Bobby" McElroy, age 62, died peacefully at home April 23, 2015. He was born in Providence, R.I., a son of Mary Gonsalves McElroy and the late Bartholomew McElroy, and was the beloved husband of Sharon Farias McElroy. For over 43 years, he was employed at Narragansett Electric in Providence, New England Power, P.G.&E. and Dominion Energy at Brayton Point and, most recently Dominion Energy in Mount Storm, W.Va. Mr. McElroy spent many years enjoying his favorite hobby, fishing. He spent many hours building plastic car models and airbrushing them. He also played in bowling leagues and dart board leagues for many years. Donning a Santa suit on Christmas Eve, he would show up at the Ronald McDonald House in Providence to visit the children and would then visit many of his co-worker's children in their homes. He was a member for many years of The Fox Point Boys Club and played in the Harmonica Band. He was a member of the Portuguese Sporting Club, Portuguese American Social Club and a founding member of the First Thirty Inc. He loved all sports, but enjoyed watching his favorite team, the New England Patriots. Mr. McElroy is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Farias McElroy; his mother, Mary Gonsalves McElroy; a brother, Keith McElroy and his wife, Karen, of East Providence, R.I., a sister, Lynn McElroy of Providence R.I., and a stepson, Jason Gallant of Indian Land. The celebration of life funeral service for Mr. McElroy is 3 p.m. Sunday, April 26, in the chapel of Burgess Funeral Home, by Mr. Larry Small. A memorial service will also be held at St. Joseph's Church, 92 Hope St., Providence, R.I., at a later date. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster; and in lieu of flowers, suggest memorial contributions be made to The Fox Point Boys Club, 90 Ives St., Providence, RI 02906. Monts, Carolyn (Carter) - Lancaster  
Lancaster – Mrs. Carolyn Carter Monts, 66, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at her home.  She was born June 18, 1948, in Orangeburg, a daughter of the late William Nathaniel Carter and Lula Christine Fogle Carter. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Monts will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 24, from the graveside at St. Luke United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bill McCown officiating.  Mrs. Monts is survived by her husband, Bill Monts of Lancaster; two daughters, Christi Patrick and her husband, Randy, and Angie Reeves, all of St. George; a stepdaughter, Kelly Monts of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Caleb Patrick, Seth Patrick, Kristopher Matthews, Brooks Thames and Alexis Thames; a sister-in-law, Amelia Davis and her husband, Ken, of Lancaster; a nephew, Andy Davis of Lancaster; a niece, Susan Smith and her husband, Scott, of Cummings, Ga.; a great-niece, Lindsey Smith of Cummings, Ga.; and a special friend, Nancy B. Waugh. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Carter. The family will receive friends at the home of Bill and Carolyn Monts. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Massey Jr., Thomas "Watermelon Man" - Lancaster  
Lancaster – Thomas "Watermelon Man" Massey Jr., 76, died Saturday, April 18, 2015. He was the son of the late Thomas Massey Sr. and the late Josephine Washington Belk. He was married to Beatrice Hood Massey. Survivors include his wife of Lancaster; three sons, William R. Massey and Ronald L. Massey, both of Lancaster, and Sammie R. Massey of Rock Hill; five daughters, Marcine Bufford, Geraldine Massey, Joann Massey, Angel Massey and Faith Massey, all of Lancaster; three brothers, Waddell Massey of Charlotte, N.C., Douglas Belk Sr. of Richmond, Va., and Ronnie Belk of Waxhaw, N.C.; a sister, Doris Blair of Lancaster; 23 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at Crawford Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Waxhaw, conducted by the Rev. Jacob Chisolm III, with burial in the Mount Nebo AME Zion Church cemetery in Lancaster.
