Alice Eugenia "Jean" (Barton) McCaskill

SUMMERVILLE – Alice Eugenia "Jean" Barton McCaskill, 79, of Summerville, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at her residence.
Mrs. McCaskill was born on Aug. 22, 1934, in Fort Lawn, a daughter of the late William Barton and Inez Denton Barton and was married to the late Oscar Hudson McCaskill Jr. She was a homemaker and member of Old Fort Baptist Church and the center of a family that loves her dearly.
Survivors include her children, Sandra J. Metz (Michael) of Summerville, Tony Jenkins of Summerville and Phillip McCaskill (Lorraine) of Belfast, Northern Ireland; two sisters, Carolyn Thomas of Lancaster, Sue Hodapp (Rick) of Rock Hill; one brother, Michael McCaskill (Susie) of Murrells Inlet; two grandchildren, Leslie Dillon (Nicholas) and Paul Metz; one great-grandchild, Nate Dillon; one niece, Susan Parsons; two nephews, Greg Clarke, Brannon McCaskill; one great-niece, Maddie Clarke; her brother-in-law Gordon McCaskill and the sorrowing extended family.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband.
Services are 11 a.m., today, Sept. 18, 2013, at Old Fort Baptist Church, Summerville, with burial at Carolina Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
