FORT LAWN – Mrs. Brenda Lipscomb Minors, 64, of Fort Lawn, wife of Roger Minors, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
She was born Jan. 18, 1949, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late William Edward Lipscomb and Ruth Pettit Lipscomb. She was married to Roger Minors.
Mrs. Minors attended New Horizon Community Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved to camp and spend time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed working with her flowers in her yard. She was retired from Clondalkin Printing and Packaging.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Minors is 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 at Elmwood Cemetery in Fort Lawn ,with the Rev. Dr. Steve Stewart officiating.
Mrs. Minors is survived by her husband of Lancaster; two sons, Charles Thomas Minors and his wife, Sharon of Lancaster and John Edward Minors Sr. of Midland, N.C.; two brothers, William "Ed" Lipscomb and his wife, Mary Lee, and Michael Dority, all of Fort Lawn; three sisters, Margaret Hatley and her husband Wayne, of Monroe, Sara Carter and her husband, Scotty, of Lancaster and Diane Tharpe and her husband, Raleigh, of Murrells Inlet; and three grandchildren, Ryan Thomas Minors, John "Jay" Edward Minors Jr. and Brett Douglas Minors.
The family will receive friends at the home.
