Mrs. Frances Palmer O'Farrell Moore, 76, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at her home. She was born December 26, 1936, in York and was a daughter of the late Thomas and Guemella Feemster O'Farrell. Mrs. Moore was a widow of the late William Franklin "Bill" Moore. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She taught special education at Greer High School and was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. Mrs. Moore was a member of the church travelers and the Dixie Young at Heart. She was a member of the University of South Carolina aquatic exercise team and the Bojangles breakfast club. She was also the LA Fury traveling baseball team's "Grammy." Mrs. Moore was an avid traveler and loved to spend the evening at the Garden City pier dancing to beach music. Mrs. Moore is survived by a son, Major General Thomas R. Moore and his wife, Paula, of Warner Robbins, Ga.; a daughter, Cathy Sistare and her husband, Reggie, of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Rhett Moore, Tyler Moore and his wife, Serena, Paige Sistare and Joseph Sistare; and a special friend and daughter from another mother, Amy McKinnon Saylors. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris, Ann and Sarah. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Moore was 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, officiated by the Rev. David Inman, with burial in Lancaster Memorial Park. The family received friends prior to the service at Hopewell United Methodist Church and other times at the home, 303 Tram Road, Lancaster.
